Induction and high voltage tester PI 5000
The PI 5000 is a handy, easy-to-use device for high-voltage testing of electrical equipment.
What is unique is its ability to carry out an inductance comparison measurement.
Properties
A special feature of the PI 5000, in addition to the inductance test, is the non-destructive testing or measurement with voltages up to 4750 V DC.
The high-voltage test offers systematic advantages in insulation resistance testing, as it also records effects that sometimes do not occur with lower test voltages. A direct measurement of the insulation resistance is possible in the range 250 kÙ to 200 MÙ.
Insulation resistances outside of these ranges can also be recorded using appropriate voltage settings. The PI 5000 complies with the latest standards, is TÜV approved and can be supplied with a calibration certificate upon request.
Application The inductance comparison measurement allows turns or winding shorts or short circuits to ground to be recorded for individual windings as soon as the inductance of an individual coil differs from the comparison coils in the same electrical equipment.
This test is possible for motors of any size and any number of windings with any number of turns. The measuring device can be adjusted to the machine size by changing the applied voltage between 1.5 and 265 V AC. The induction comparison test also allows short-circuit anchors to be tested when installed.
