The RTA wrapping tape is ideal for bandaging and binding in electric motor and transformer construction.
Due to the artificial silk or rayon yarn, the tape achieves a very high tear resistance. The tapes are largely insensitive to the effects of oxidation, acids and bacteria and have a high, long-lasting temperature resistance and tear resistance. The temperature resistance of the material can be increased to thermal class F (155°C) by means of an appropriate resin or impregnation varnish. The large number of different bandaging and winding tapes results from practical requirements.
